Recall last night's dreams.

When you're dreaming, your subconscious is coming up with solutions to the things which happened to you during the daytime. Most people forget their dreams.Spend a few minutes in silence with yours.

Get out of bed and make it.

Some of you might do this already but if you don't, spend a couple of minutes and make it now.

Drink a tall glass of water

This next step is important because we all need water and especially when we wake up in the morning we are super dehydrated after all that sleeping.

Breathe

Think about hydration, oxygen, and of course breathing. Some people call this meditation. You want to fully oxygenate your body and brain.Mindfulness is super important and you want to ensure you've taken the steps necessary to have a clear and sharp mind going into the day.

Wake up your body

This is to wake your body up after you meditate. It can be stretching or something more active such as pushups, crunches, jumping jacks.It's not your exercise - it's just to wake up your heart rate.

Take a cold shower

Cold therapy resets your nervous system. In the same way you put ice on an injury, cold water helps reduce inflammation and swelling. Get out and do your regular morning routine.Shave, brush your teeth.

Make a cup of tea

Next, prepare a cup of tea that is bright, flavorful, a burst of energy complete with numerous health benefits.

Journal

Take a few moments to jot down any thoughts you might have at the moment.Include any ideas, thoughts or feelings you have even if they are unrelated to one another.

Make your to-do list

This one’s really important, and you absolutely must write it down. It’s basically a high-level statement you’re telling yourself what you want to accomplish during this day.List three things for work and three personal things.

And then your to-feel list...

We are a bunch of states and emotions.What you don't want is to feel a certain way by accident but by design. You want to be a thermostat and not a thermometer. The latter reacts to the environment and you just might have some good positive states.But if you set in advance some standards, some goals such as love, curious, connection, gratitude then that is the only way to make sure you feel how you set out to feel, today.

And finally, your to-be list

Who do you want to be today? Good friend, partner, leader, parent. You decide. This part is entirely up to you.We are not human doings but human beings.
